Indian Country needs to remember that the Dems, while funding and backing loans to folks who could not afford them, which lead to the collapse and take over by the Feds of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are the same Dems that sat, prevented and did nothing to get the Indian Housing bill to even get to the floor of the House for a vote.
Rep Frank and the rest of the Congressional Black Caucus, knew that FM and FM were not stable but continued to assure the public and the rest of congress that they were stable. Apparently, if you've not seen the O'Reilly Factor, based on a CNBC interview with Rep Frank, folks went out and bought FM and FM stock and within months both FM and FM failed and those owning stock lost all their investment! Rep Frank continues to deny they had any responsibility for such. Rep Frank is a prime example of a congressman who has a deaf ear to main street!
Not to mention the Fannie Mae and Freddie Macs ties to the Acorn group, which is believed to be Obama's grass roots campaign source.
One of the main goals of most Indian Tribes is to get out from under government *control*, yet, Obama and his crowd will create an even larger government and continue to take the US down the path of Socialization. Spending for their social programs will increase dramatically and guess what, they'll look to the Tribes Casino money to help fund those programs with increased fees.
Ask yourself, considering the way Rep Frank and the Congressional Black Caucus have treated, helped and promoted Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the way they treated Indians on their Housing Bill - do you really believe they will ever be fair to Indian Country. Remember, with all the complaints in Indian Country about poor housing - Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were giving and guaranteeing loans to folks who could not afford them and now those folks who had nothing to do with it, the taxpayer, is going to have to pay for that irresponsibility.
Will the Indian Housing Bill do the same in Indian Country? Will every Indian get a new house in Indian Country? I doubt it! Will the Congressional Black Caucus come in and *help* Indian organizations? No!
A vote for Obama is a vote for the continuation of this irresponsibility!
Today Congress is back to business as usual by passing pork amendment after pork amendment to the *bailout* bill when we have a financial crisis! What does this tell you? Indian Funding is way UNDER funded!!
